Stepping out into the glittering snow beneath the brilliant noonday sun, I turn and close the heavy door to the mine and trudge out into the wilderness. It is then that I begin to realize I should probably bath some in one of the pools when I return as the soot covering my face was doing a rather wonderful job reducing the glare of the sun but I imagined that I smelled little different than smoke and brimstone. As of now I could have cared less, Mace wasnt exactly complaining and no one else was around to whine at me so I continued along quietly through the snow for a mile or two. As I got to about the second mile or so my irritation at the fact that I had not yet been attacked by these damned dragons everyone had claimed to be the bane of the world began to take serious hold of my mind. As I walked, I began to mutter, then growl, then curse, and by the time I had made it to the third mile I was banging my sword against my shield taunting the dragons accusing their mothers of being little more than oversized newts that had mated with a bat...

"FUND HEI KOS NAHLON HEI VIK JOOR? HEI TINVAAK ZUK FEIN FIN LOM TOL MAH!" a voice called out from the empty air around me, "Ahrk zulot fein thu'ul rem."

Startled by this voice on the wind I come to an abrupt halt and begin casting about trying to find its source, "WHO SAID THAT? SHOW YOURSELF COWARD! COME NOW, SHOW YOURSELF AND BE CONSIDERED AT LEAST HALF A MAN!"

With a throaty laugh the voice called once more from the ethar, "Nu vahr fund Zu'u dreh tol? Zu'u los ni jul, hei mey..."

"WHO ARE YOU YOU THRICE DAMNED DAEDRIC CUR!? SPEAK PLAIN WORDS!" I roar back in angry ignorence of the tongue.

"Sont viked los Zu'u? Ronak Zu'u fen tinvaak hein sahkren joor... EHEM, as I have already spoken... 'Would you be silent you damn mortal? you speak more than the water that falls, and greater than thunder too. Now why would I do that? I am not man, you fool... Thrice damned am I? Fine I will speak your tongue, mortal. There is that better you ignorant son of a foolish bovine?"

I stood stock still in shock, my blade hung loose in my hand allowing its tip to dip into the snow. I began to tremble in outragious fury and screamed out with a rage so potent that half of my words jumbled and the steam from my breath poured out from beneath both the front and back of my helm my helm, and shot out in twin founts from the eye sockets, "YOU FUCKMUTHING WHOBITCHER WILL KILL I YOU RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!" whipping my blade forward with such outrage it plunged point first into a 10 inch thick maple splitting it up the middle as its pommel rocked upwards.

"Colorful, joor, mortal," the voice purred forth from the ether, "though one thinks you should work on your pronunciation."

With that my mind snapped swinging round in the complete opposite direction... nearly. My anger had reached the point that the flame burned so brightly that it consumed what was left of its boistrous fuel in an instantanious blink. My head slumped forward as I walked towards the tree some ten yards away, took hold of my blade and wrenched it out of the tree trunk, "Being. Show yourself," I turned from the tree and took a knee blade gripped tight in my hand, my head still bowed, by shield clutched tight to my side, and I began my silent prayers to Talos and Stendarr.

"What is this? The little volcano has grown silent... Interesting,"

In my fury, I had missed the very being that had been taunting me as it lay nearly invisible behind the very tree my blade had split in twain. It lay no more than 20 feet behind me, openning its eyes it watched me, as I finished my prayers and rose to my feet.

Shimmering back into visibility it spoke in its own voice for the first time, "So you are the little mortal that slew my brother Vulonvengel and his brood... I must say, quite impressive for a "Thu'umnu Gein", Voiceless One. Perhaps I shall tell the others we must keep an eye on more than just the Dovahkiin Sonya..."

Turning slowly I growled, "Fight me."

The large white beast chuckled, "Now why would I do that?"

Without word I rushed forward and swung my blade in its face. It was easily avoided but it brought forth a growl from the beast as I pressed the attack, forcing it to rear up to keep out of range of the hissing blade.

It seemed my attack irked it, it lifted its wings and swung its tail around bashing me from my feet and sending me tumbling to side, "Be still Joor, I have not come to fight you."

Growling I came quickly back to my feet and continued to press the dragon.

"Aedra above Joor have you a death wish," it snarled at me and swung its tail once more, but this time I was ready, raising my shield to defend myselft I slashed up underhandedly and severed the tail of the beast only to have the tip slam into my shield rocking me back a good three steps. It screeched in pain and cursed at me, "Hei thu'umnu mal Joor! Zu'u fen ag hein qeths ko fo!! (You voiceless little mortal! I will burn your bones in frost!!)"

It whipped its head back as it took too steps back and thrust it back towards me roaring out "FO-KRAH-DIIN!"

Tucking back behind my shield I felt a wave of cold wash over me as icy blue white flames lick around the edges of my shield, and frost begins to form on its backing. When the "ice flames" stop licking around the edges of my shield I step forward and roar back my wordless challenge.

Snarling back the Dragon responds, "You Thu'umnu little defiant cur, I will freeze your soul..."

Clashing my sword against the dragon-bone shield I step forward and spread my arms wide in wordless challenge.

The giant beast of frost colored scales and slate bone lunged forward snarling in anger, I quickly reversed the blade and leaped up with one foot up, one hand on the grip, the other on the pommel I kicked the upraised foot into the beasts nostril. Catching my foot on the upper rim, I raised my other foot and stomped it down on top of its muzzle and rammed the blade home to the left of the center between its eyes. One foot caught in its nostril the other pushing off of the boney ridge on the bridge of its nose my cuirass slammed home against the Gauntlet of the hand on the blades pommel slamming it home on the crossguard driving the blade to the hilt in the dragons skull and snapping the blade off 4 inches above the hilt. The dragons massive form slammed into the split tree sending me flying into the split which ended at a fork in the branches. My lower body slammed into this, sending me summersulting back through the smaller branches of the tree until I came to a halt on my belly sliding to a hult just outside of the trees branches. Groaning in pain I slowly rolled over to my back and held up the hilt of my blade and sighed in irritation.

Remembering the massive beast which lay behind me I rolled back over hissing in pain readying myself for its attack. An attack that never came. It lay there breathing heavily watching me through the branchs, "Thu'umnu Gein, do you still live," it questioned weakly.

Not able to form the words I grunted and stepped forward tiredly, with rhasping breaths and held up my shield and the hilt of my blade in the fashion of a boxer and grunted.

"Rela Thu'umnu, y-ave won th-ay..." it struggled to speak cohearently, "Ne'er tho't Iizforahgol w- die fightin- a joo...er..." with this the last of its breath rattled from its chest and the massive beast lay still.

My knees buckled sending me forward to kneel before the great beast. Sitting there quietly, after some time a chill breeze picked up bringing me back to this world in time to notice that the sun had faded behind darkening gray clouds as small flakes of snow began to tumble from the skies. Groaning once more I began to get up when an odd whirling noise picked up bringing me to a halt. looking around I saw swirls of light spin themselves around the body of the giant beast building in intensity before suddenly exploding out. Some struck me in the armor where Naurgul had implanted the Blackened soul stones, while other strands swirled around my back striking the small pack of blackened soul stones kept there, other strands raced back towards the mines, though most raced off towards some distant location far to what appeared to be the North ( @Sonya ). Returning my gaze to the corpse of the beast I sat back in shock, as sitting before me was not the corpse of a dragon but the beasts bleached bones. Cocking my head to the side in confusion, I climbed to my feet and looked at the hilt of my blade and sighed, Looks like it was back to the forge for me... Turning away from the dragons grinning skeleton I stumble back towards the mine in search of food, a bedroll, and the warmth of the forge muttering to myself, "Wonder what this 'Thu'umnu Gein' thing is..."
